I am not familiar with this cardinal.
Well, among other things he head the compilation of the current Catechism of the Catholic Church. But in terms of the article (“tipped”), a famous piece of Roman wisdom holds that “He who goes into the conclave pope, comes out cardinal.”
I respect his Eminence Cardinal Schonborn and would not mind if he is the next Pope, but I am very wary of any stories that a particular Prelate is destined to become the next Supreme Pontiff. Such stories are usually based on speculation and have often proven to be incorrect.
There is an old saying: “He who enters the Conclave a Pope exits a Cardinal”.
