Have you entered something on CAF only to find that it’s been “corrected” to something completely different?
My latest was typing “Benedictine Oblate” only to find it turned into “Benedictine Inmate.” (It just happened again (name removed by moderator)utting this message.)
Most definitely. Yesterday, I posted “These things happen sometimes, don’t worry about little things of no consequence, and focus on God’s graces and mercies in all of our lives.”
When I went back and read my post it said, “What the &@#% are you thinking!? Take your baggage out to the garbage because it stinks!”
??? Really?
That’s one heckuva autocorrect.
Yesterday, I made a terrible decision and posted a reply to some controversial World News Thread. I checked back a few hours later and my entire post was transformed into text from the Magna Carta! 
Yesterday I mentioned St Blase in a post, which autocorrect attempted to “fix” as St. Blasé, who I guess is the patron saint of apathy.
Which device do you use when accessing
CAF? My phone tends to auto-correct more than my Kindle.
St. Blasé does have a nice ring to it. I would love to read his biography, but it might not be too exciting.
I use an Android phone.
That is the type of phone I have too and I have a really big problem with auto correct when I text and also a problem at times
when I am posting on CAF.
Like right now it wanted to auto correct to
CAFÉ.
I turned off auto-correct. Problem solved.
There’s far less entertainment in my life, though.
