Heavenly Father we ask Your guidance and aid as the medical experts discern whether any issue needs attention and treatment, along with any successful medical care possible, if needed.

Father please let Your peace and hope flow into Mike who is waiting for clear and happy results of the scan.
Please grant that all will be well.

Mother Mary we ask your motherly prayers for Mike’'s health and well-being, and for a good outcome from the brain scan

Thanks very much for your comments and prayers.

I got the all-clear this morning.

I couldn’t believe it because I’d rang the doctor’s surgery (we call it the GP’s in the UK) yesterday and they told me they’d received the results from the hospital but couldn’t tell me yet until a doctor had gone through them. Well, you can imagine how anxious and suspicious that made me.

The saints I’ve been asking to intercede for me have been St Francis, Padre Pio, St Dominic, St John of the Cross, St Theresa of Avila and St Josemaria Escriva.

And, of course, Our Lady.

Very happy today. Going to have a lovely meal with my lovely new wife.

It’s made me think about others who today (or yesterday, or tomorrow) receive bad news.
I want to, and will, keep them in my prayers every day.

Praise God.
