Breaking Personal Curses and Spells Prayer

I’ve been praying this one every now and then when something doesn’t feel right. But I’m wondering how often should a prayer like this be done?

Breaking Personal Curses and Spells Against

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, strengthened by the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and all the Saints, and powerful in the holy authority of His Precious and Wondrous Name, I ask, O Lord God, that you break and dissolve any and all curses, hexes, spells, seals, satanic vows and pacts, spiritual bondings and soul ties with satanic forces, evil wishes, evil desires, hereditary seals, snares, traps, lies, obstacles, deceptions, diversions, spiritual influences, and every dysfunction and disease from any source whatsoever, that have been placed upon me.

Father in Heaven, please rebuke these evil spirits and their effects and cast them away from me so that I may continue to do Your Will and fulfill the mission you have for me to Your Greater Glory.

Thank you, Father, for hearing my prayer. I praise Your Holy Name and worship You and Love You. Thank You for the wisdom and light of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for enabling me through Your Holy Spirit to be aggressive against the works of the enemy. Thank You for Your Hope, that takes away discouragement; thank You for ongoing victory. “…in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Rom. 8:37).

Father, I now place my enemies into your hands. Look with mercy upon them, and do not hold their sins against them. Anyone who has cursed me, I now bless. Anyone who has hurt me, I now forgive. For those who have persecuted me, I now pray

Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory Be…

O My Sweet Jesus, forgive us our sins and save us from the fires of Hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, and help especially those who are most in need of Thy Mercy.

Holy Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen and Amen.

I think every now and then when something doesn’t feel right is perfect!

Been there done that too!

uh,this isn’t voodoo forums

What does voodoo have to do with it? If we accpet a belief in God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Ghost and Angels, then it would appear to me that we also have to accept the existance of Satan, Lucifer and Demons, all of whom can come to us and make our lives miserable. I would not be at all surprised if there are those in league with these forces who are able to, in some rare cases call upon demons for their help in tormenting those that they have something against.

Of course, I know that there are many of our more progressive friends whoo pooh pooh the entire idea of an evil force that exists and runs wild throughout the world causing the destruction of souls.

Just my opinion.

Get a St. Benedict medal and get it blessed. Crucifixes also repulse evil. Anything blessed by a priest also repels evil to an extent.

Get Holy Water and/or exorcised Blessed salt. You need to get an older Roman Ritual, like the 1962 version, for the necessary exorcism prayer on holy water/blessed salt and spray it when something is not right.

Say the St. Michael prayer as often as you like I don’t know of an official recommended amount and at least always when something doesn’t seem right.

hes talking about spells and curses, thats voodoo, thats superstition

Curses exist. It’s biblical, my friend. “Bless those who curse you” - Luke 6:28

It’s not superstition. It’s scripture.

These are all very important!! Also ask St. Joseph and the Blessed Mother to protect you. Here’s a prayer that I say daily:

Prayer against Every Evil
Spirit of our God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Most Holy Trinity, Immaculate Virgin Mary, angels, archangels, and saints of heaven, descend upon me.
Please purify me, Lord, mold me, fill me with yourself, use me.
Banish all the forces of evil from me, destroy them, vanquish them, so that I can be healthy and do good deeds.
Banish from me all spells, witchcraft, black magic, malefice, ties, maledictions, and the evil eye; diabolic infestations, oppressions, possessions; all that is evil and sinful, jealousy, perfidy, envy; physical, psychological, moral, spiritual, diabolical ailments.
Burn all these evils in hell, that they may never again touch me or any other creature in the entire world.
I command and bid all the powers who molest me - by the power of God all powerful, in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, through the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary - to leave me forever, and to be consigned into the everlasting hell, where they will be bound by Saint Michael the archangel, Saint Gabriel, Saint Raphael, our guardian angels, and where they will be crushed under the heel of the Immaculate Virgin Mary.
Amen.

I’m pretty sure the above quotation has nothing to do with actual cursing (in the magik/voodoo sense).

“Bless those who curse you” means you still give a blessing (like “May God bless you”) even to those who insult you or wish bad things upon you (like if someone were to say “I hope you crash your car” or something like that).

I take it then that u don t accept that evil as a force exists? And that in certain cases may even be called upon?

Does it work for you?

There are curses even in the old Roman Ritual - it’s not superstition:

DEPRECATORY BLESSING AGAINST PESTS

(mice and rats, locusts, worms, etc.)

The priest vests in surplice and purple stole, and coming to the field or place infested with these creatures, says:

Antiphon: Arise, Lord, help us; and deliver us for your kindness’ sake.

Ps 43.1: O God, our ears have heard, our fathers have declared to us.

All: Glory be to the Father.

P: As it was in the beginning.

All Ant.: Arise, Lord, help us; and deliver us for your kindness’ sake.

P: Our help is in the name of the Lord.

All: Who made heaven and earth.

P: Lord, heed my prayer.

All: And let my cry be heard by you.

P: The Lord be with you.

All: May He also be with you.

Let us pray.

We entreat you, Lord, be pleased to hear our prayers; and even though we rightly deserve, on account of our sins, this plague of mice (or locusts, worms, etc.), yet mercifully deliver us for your kindness’ sake. Let this plague be expelled by your power, and our land and fields be left fertile, so that all it produces redound to your glory and serve our necessities; through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.
Let us pray.

Almighty everlasting God, the donor of all good things, and the most merciful pardoner of our sins; before whom all creatures bow down in adoration, those in heaven, on earth, and below the earth; preserve us sinners by your might, that whatever we undertake with trust in your protection may meet with success by your grace. And now as we utter a curse on these noxious pests, may they be cursed by you; as we seek to destroy them, may they be destroyed by you; as we seek to exterminate them, may they be exterminated by you; so that delivered from this plague by your goodness, we may freely offer thanks to your majesty; through Christ our Lord.

All: Amen.
Exorcism

I cast out you noxious vermin, by God the Father almighty, by Jesus Christ, His only-begotten Son, and by the Holy Spirit. May you speedily be banished from our land and fields, lingering here no longer, but passing on to places where you can do no harm. In the name of the almighty God and the entire heavenly court, as well as in the name of the holy Church of God, we pronounce a curse on you, that wherever you go you may be cursed, decreasing from day to day until you are obliterated. Let no remnant of you remain anywhere, except what might be necessary for the welfare and use of mankind. Be pleased to grant our request, you who are coming to judge both the living and the dead and the world by fire.

All: Amen.

The places infested are sprinkled with holy water.

this a blessing not a curse.

I like the prayer! What is its source?

I was about to ask that too. I have read a similar prayer with very similar wording in a different language long time ago. Would be very interested to know where its from as well.

You can find this prayer at Saint-Mike.org, in their Spiritual Warfare Catalog. It is totally valid, and is an excellent form orf spiritual defense. Curses and other forms of spiritual negativity most certainly do exist. It is not superstition to acknowledge this fact, but it most certainly is a case of superstition and a lot of other problems when we participate in such things.

Sorry for the late response since I’ve been rather busy lately. To answer the two other questions I don’t know the true source or who made it. But Vigilant posted the website where I got it from.

I have notice some positive changes going on. But I do this prayer sometimes with the rosary and/or with the Chaplet of The Divine Mercy.

thedivinemercy.org/message/devotions/praythechaplet.php

Another one I also use.

O Holy Angel, attendant of my wretched soul and of mine afflicted life, forsake me not, a sinner, neither depart from me for mine inconstancy. Give no place to the evil demon to subdue me with the oppression of this mortal body; but take me by my wretched and outstretched hand, and lead me in the way of salvation. Yea, O holy Angel of God, the guardian and protector of my hapless soul and body, forgive me all things whatsoever wherewith I have troubled thee, all the days of my life, and if I have sinned in anything this day. Shelter me in this present night, and keep me from every affront of the enemy, lest I anger God by any sin; and intercede with the Lord in my behalf, that He might strengthen me in the fear of Him, and make me a worthy servant of His goodness. Amen.

The Hedge Prayer on that same site is also very good, as are several others. I pray the Hedge Prayer at least once every day.

The info I have found at Saint-Mike.org has all been good. The Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance could help a LOT of people, if they would just read and heed.

Hi ThunderCrack, The Bible tells us to never sees in our prayer live. I take this to mean to take to God were ever we are at,house, car,Church, ect… Ephesians 6 tells us of spiritual warfare. I pray in a less conventional way then most Catholics. Much of what I learnt from priest in the Order of the Sacred Heart. I pray to the Father,Son(Jesus),but use the Holy Spirit more than most.Praying to the Holy Spirit for Peace, that Jesus told, and the Father Gives through his Spirit. Peace to my soul, because if God’s Spirit is there nothing else can be. The second thing is everyday I plead the most Precious Blood of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit, over myself, family, home, and everything that comes in contact with my life.It totally builds a hedge of protection over my life, Jesus Precious Blood he shed on the Cross for us. Satan has already been defeated,we are on a mop up operation. The Sacrament of the Eucharist has so much power against the Evil one, The Precious Blood of Jesus, is given to us to protect us through out our daily lives. No demonic spirit can be in the presents of Jesus. We take that Blood and cover our lives with it, nothing can get in. The Evil one may try to use are thoughts(That is way Satan means Great Deceiver), but the Catholic Church has all the Power through the Sacraments. That Sacramental grace does not end after mass. We take the grace of the Holy Spirit, which we have been given power, through the Sacraments, out with us into the world. We are the light of God’s Grace. No evil can stand this Truth. If we truly understand the Eucharist and the Grace released in it, Jesus Most Precious Blood, protects us every day of our life against all evil. This I am truly convinced of.
God Bless and the Peace of God’s Spirit be with you!
