Can prayer really make a difference?

Hi, I’ve always believed in the power of prayer and do believe God hears us and wants to help us but…when you’ve been praying for over a year for someone and theres still no answer comming what does it mean. Has God answered with a no?

Maybe not a “no” but a “not yet”.

I’m not being facetious; I’m faced with a similar situation, so I can relate. I believe that an answer is forthcoming…I just don’t know when.

My dear friend without knowing exact details it is difficult for us to comment. What i would say though is prayer does work and is our communication with God.We know from the bible that god hears all prayers. If God never answers your prayers, are you praying for the right things?
God does answer all prayers but it may not be the answer we were expecting.Remember we don’t know God’s Divine Plan for us and for those we pray for only God knows the bigger picture. God knows what is good for you and what is not and in that you prayed to Him, He knows that you believe and trust in Him. So, if you think a prayer has gone unanswered, think again.

Mark 11:22-25
“‘Have faith in God,’ Jesus answered. ‘I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, “Go, throw yourself into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins’”

Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your
ways my ways, declares the Lord. My ways are higher than your way.”

God bless xx
