Sister Carol Keehan, who garnered widespread attention with her support of Barack Obama’s health care reform proposal in the face of the U.S. bishops’ opposition to it, is acknowledging the authority of the local bishop in resolving moral and ethical questions for Catholic hospitals.
I believe Archbishop Timothy Dolan will be an excellent President of the USCCB and accomplish much for the Catholic Church through the grace of God. It is a pleasure to have such a strong character overseeing matters of this nature.
May God Bless him abundantly and use him for the good of our Catholic Church as we truly need a man with his backbone in this position. It is so nice of Sister Keehan to recognize this man is doing things according to Church teaching.
