Catholic Parables

Does the Catholic church present official interpretations of the parables in the New Testament ?

Extra Question
Does the Catholic church permit armed defensive struggle against violence and persecution ?

A good many of the parables are easy to undestand. The good smaritan, good shepard, the sower, the rich man and lazarus, and so on. Any that are more complicated can usually be found in commentaries on the gospels for explainations.

As far as self defense of an individual or state, the church allows it for the most part,
but of course always advises discussions to resolve differences if at all possible.

I’ll add an extra question: Does the Church have an official interpretation of Old Testament and New Testament prophecies ?
