As a Catholic religious educator, there was a breakdown in the catechesis at some point over the last 40 years. Many of today’s Catholic parents (the primary catechists of their own children) did not “get it” correctly. Because of this, their children are not “getting it” correctly.

God is a COVENANTAL God, his covenant w/ us is
based on the shed blood and broken body of our
Lord Jesus. He instituted the Eucharist at the Last
Supper, saying very clearly, “take eat, THIS IS MY BODY”
“take and drink, THIS IS MY BLOOD”. w/o the Sacraments
the Church is a body w/o a structure, boneless!!
