Note that this preacher says

“Although they are pleasant men in their personal demeanor, their group is more than disgusting to our Lord and Savior,” Drollinger wrote on the Capitol Ministries’ Web site.

Also, Drollinger “angered some legislators several years ago by calling Catholicism a ‘false religion’ and by saying that it is sinful for a woman lawmaker to be away from her children four days a week while in Sacramento.”

So…what d’ye think? Do you need this in your legislature? Is this a good argument for or against separation of Church and State? Or is it irrelevant and just a tempest in a teapot dome?

The longer I live the more I think that poor vocabulary is responsible for more conflicts than actual differing ideas. This preacher seems to need to learn the difference between ‘tolerance’ and ‘indifferentism.’ He seems to think they have the same meaning.

Tolerance means that you respect the PERSON who holds a different opinion from you, but doesn’t require you to respect the beliefs the person holds.

Indifferentism is the (screwy) idea that all opinions are equally valid and that we must respect the OPINIONS and BELIEFS of all others as much as our own.

Sad that the devil seems to effective at polarizing us into two groups: the intolerant and the indifferent. sigh.
