Dad's having surgery on his arm today

Please pray for my father, who will have surgery today to repair extensive nerve damage in his right arm. He’s right-handed, so it’s supremely important that this damage be repaired properly.

Lord, grant the guiding assistance of the angels to the doctors and staff to repair UpUpAndAway’s fathers arm affliction. A touch of your hand heals all ailments. Touch UpUpAndAway’s father, that he might be healed physically and spiritually. With your grace, comfort the family and all those who are tried by this matter. Mary, pray with us. Amen.

Thank you to all who have prayed. Mom says the surgery “went well,” but provided no other detail about it. (I live on a different continent from the rest of my family, so I rely upon them to tell me what’s going on.)

The hard part is his recovery. Dad’s not exactly obedient, so he often ends up doing himself more harm than good. I pray that he heeds his doctors’ advice and not give my mother grief when she tries to make sure he’s following their orders.

Thank you again to all who are praying.

Dad’s recovery isn’t going well. He’s dehydrated, in so much pain he can’t sleep, and the incision site is infected. He is receiving additional medical care to address these problems. Please pray for an improvement in his condition and for no further problems to arise.
