I’m in contact with Sr. Mary Catharine of the Dominican Nuns monastery of Our Lady of the Rosary in Summit, NJ. She told me that the Lockport nuns aren’t a fully Dominican Nuns yet, but a diocesan community. There are only a few of them but they sure have that Dominican joy!

My sister entered the Dominican Nuns of the Monastery of the Heart of Jesus in 2005. She absolutely loves it there. She is very happy. Her name is Sr. Mary Agnes of the Annunciation.

Are they in union with Rome?

Yes, this community is in union with Rome. They currently are a congregation of Diocesan rite, living under the auspices of a local bishop.
