I’ve never seen Our Lady myself, but I have had a miraculous dream; forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=532928

I’m really surprised to see this question. I just had a dream and I’m not sure if it was her or not. Earlier today I had gone to my church where Our Lady of Fatima statue was visiting and I prayed at her feet. This is the first time I had ever seen a notable icon in real life. She was very beautiful.

Anyway, a few hours after seeing her I took a nap and had a strange dream. I dreamt that I was being ticketed by a policewoman for not wearing my seatbelt but after i explained that I had only taken it off because I was already at my destination she seemed pleasantly surprised and said to me “this is your lucky day” and she said she would cancel the ticket. Here is the strange part. As she was talking I noticed her appearance. She was wearing what looked like white pajamas with little pink roses on them and a bloodstain was beginning to form on her chest near her neck area. I was alarmed and asked her if she was alright but she ignored my question and kept on talking. Then I noticed how skinny and frail she was and that she looked to be in her late teens or early 20’s. Now the bloodstain had gotten very big and there was blood also coming from the left side of her neck and her words became slow and weak but she seemed oblivious to her condition. I reached around her back to help her stand because I was afraid she was getting weak and someone saw what was going on and said they would get help and ran off. I stood there propping her up and she was now silent but awake and had an expressionless look on her face and I remember the bloodstain was very big now and the blood from her neck was flowing more by the second. Then I woke up.

I’ve never had a dream like that before and didn’t make any mental connection to Our Lady until after I had spent some time thinking about it. She was wearing white pajamas and Our Lady of Fatima was in a white dress, and Our Lady’s presence is often linked to the smell of roses, and there were roses on this lady’s outfit. I still do not know what to make of it, but I do think maybe it is some sort of message from her.

No the Blessed Virgin Mary has never appeared to me.

And I wouldn’t want to see an apparition or desire an apparition.

Many Saints say don’t have desire in your heart to be visited by a supernatural apparition.

There are far better chances you’ll be visited by Satan or one of his demons in disguise.

My advise for what its worth is to stay clear of such desires.

Peace
Chris

Thats sound advice, because I think that happened to me when I was a little girl. Satan coming to me in disguise, I mean. Because I wanted to see the Blessed Virgin so much. I dreamed that I was a in a church yard and a strange man came up to me and told me I would see Our Lady if I returned to meet him at the church yard that night at sun set. So I did and I was so excited about seeing the Virgin Mary. The man turned up and told me she was waiting for me around the other side of the church so I ran round to find her. I saw a woman who I believed to be Our Lady dressed in long gray robes but I couldnt see her face because she had her back to me. I called out to her and when she turned around it was not Our Lady but a horrible old witch with long sharp finger nails and sharp teeth and, instead of eyes, deep black sunken empty holes and long gray matted hair. I was so frightened I tried to run but I couldnt and she pointed at me with one of her long, claw like fingers and shrieked with laughter and started heading towards me. I instantly woke up and it was still dark. I was so frightened I actually stopped believing in God for a little while and I honnestly believe thats what the devil wanted. I was only about 11 or 12 years old. It was horrible.

Good advice!!! I agree. I only ask bc I have some notable dreams in my youth and wanted to see how common that was out of curiosity. I do agree with you though!

oh my goodness yikes. Wow.

p.s. I will add, I never had much devotion to Mary until a couple years ago after I felt her pursuing me very directly. My dreams as a youth were very brief and peaceful and simple and filled me with joy

Well, kind of. Before I became Catholic I was an inactive Lutheran because my husband and I were unhappy with the church we had been attending. That is another story.

We wanted to have children after many years of ABC. I had some female problems and went for acupuncture for healing. Please no comments about traditional chinese medicine. It is a done deal.

Anyway, I am lying in the room resting and I felt that I was not alone. I ‘saw’ the virgin Mary’s arm reach out and touch my shoulder. She had on a blue dress or shawl. And she told me that everything was going to be okay. She said it twice. “Everything will be okay. It’s going to be okay.”

Two years later my husband and I adopted two children. A year after that we started RCIA and we joined the Catholic church at Easter Vigil 2007.

I have not had any personal experiences of Our Lady appearing but I would like to share with you a story about my Grandfather.
My Grandfather served in the First World War and he was a RSM regimantal sergeant major. He was given orders one day to take the men from the trenches in a certain direction. Now that day as he was about to follow orders and go in ‘that direction’ Our Lady appeared to him (and others were witnesses) she did not speak but stood with her arm pointing in the other direction to which my Grandfather’s orders were.Grandad took the men in the direction Our Lady pointed.Later that day it was confirmed that if they had gone in the direction they were ordered to go they would have all been killed. I would not be here among other things!
My Grandad was awarded many medals during the war one for bravery. He never got into trouble for disobeying orders. It was documented in the catholic church.I never knew this story until my Grandfather’s funeral. Our Priest Fr Collins produced the article as documented in the bulletin when my Grandfather died in 1968.
God bless

I remember distinctly when I was much younger, around 8 or so. I has a dream where Mother Mary was standing with two other men, I can’t recall their faces but shew as taking them away, she was talking to me and then said she had to take these people to heaven and I begged and pleaded that she should take me with her now but she said that it was not my time yet. That dream has always stuck to me.

My mother has not had any visions of the Lord but she dreamt that her aunt was going for a funeral and the person who had died (i.e. who’s funeral it was) had somehow come into the house and was holding onto her aunt and telling her not to go. A week later, her aunt passed away.
My mother always gets dreams like this and they turn out to be true. They terrify me.

Nope, I’ve never seen Our Lady.
I can’t wait to meet Her in Heaven someday!:heaven:

I have had no visions of Mary, but once when I was about eight years old, and using language that was rather salty (learned from a teenaged brother), I heard a woman’s voice in my head that simply said, “What are you doing?” The tone was a gentle reprimand. I don’t remember being scared, but I never again used profanity. I’m now an advanced senior citizen. I wondered if it could have been Mary speaking to me, but my mother had died a year or so earlier, so it could well have been a parental admonision from the hereafter. Guess I’ll find out when I get there.

What a wonderful story.

Nice story

No, I have never had such experiences, and doubt I will for the duration of my life.

Thank you,

I’ve read a lot of St. Teresa of Avila, and while we might dreamily think how lovely it would be for us to have a vision of the BVM, in actual fact, it seems to be more of a burden than a blessing. St. Teresa was ostracised by her community and priests for a long time, as they believed her visions were demonic in origin.

If the Church approves apparitions during the visionary’s lifetime, it is normally only after a long period of investigation and suspicion. Otherwise, it occurs after the visionary’s death meaning they might have faced a lifetime of suspicion and questioning about their visions.

That’s why I’ve actually prayed I never get any kind of vision. No thanks.

Yeh. That would be hard.

hey, please note the question is has Our Lady appeared to you **not **do you want her too lol:rolleyes:

Oh how I wish I could delete my previous post. Now that I read it I see how ridiculous it must sound :frowning:

If there are any mods reading this, please delete my original post if its not too much trouble. :imsorry:

Don’t feel so bad. I made mistakes in posts I wish I hadn’t.

Where all here as brothers and sisters in Christ to learn and lend help.

The day when someone thinks they have nothing else to learn,

Then they have a problem.

Cheer up

Sincerely Yours in the Peace of Christ
