Am I allowed to take communion at a non-Catholic church if I’m in the RCIA program because I have not taken communion for awhile and would like to but since I can’t in the Eucharist until I’m confirmed, I NEED to take A communion!
Dear Paris,
You have to ask yourself why you are in the RCIA. Do you believe that the Catholic Church is the Church founded by Jesus and speaks with His aurthority or not?
If so, then you need to know that the Catholic Church does not recongnize Holy Communion in Protestant churches as valid. Many Protestants don’t either. For them it is merely a symbol.
If you want to be a Catholic and are preparing to be one, then you need to behave as a committed Catholic and not persue an invalid Eucharist anywhere else.
