I’m scared that there is no afterlife waiting for me, I fear that there is no such thing as heaven, I fear that I will just be in eternal darkness, and be as like I was sleeping. Prove to me that there is a heaven, please! Is it possible that there is no heaven?
I cannot “prove” to you that there is a heaven, at least not in such a way that you will be automatically relieved of your doubts. But I can tell you that there is a heaven, and that even great saints such as St. Therese of Lisieux have suffered the same kind of doubts and fears that currently plague you and have emerged triumphant through God’s grace.
