Mohammeds last words

I have been looking at some past posts and I found something quite disturbing. It`s Mohammeds last words before he died:

"MUHAMMAD: “May Allah curse the Jews and Christians for they built the places of worship at the graves of the prophets.” Bukhari, Vol. 1, #427 [Muhammad had been poisoned years earlier by a Jewish woman whose husband was killed by the Muslims and the poison had slowly worked its effect. He said this while dying in the arms of his wife Aisha]. "

I wanted to ask our Muslim brothers and sisters wether this is true or not. If it is, what is your opinion on it and how do you justify this?

I browsed & found these warnings . May Allah protect us from committing these sins/mistakes .

“The curse of Allâh falls upon the Jews and Christians for they have made their Prophets’ tombs places of worship.”

Then he said: “Do not make my tomb a worshipped idol.”

" Don’t over praise me as the Christians over-praised the son of Mary"

…Many passages from the Bible also criticize the Jews. Read the Hebrew Bible, particularly Micah (Chapter 3:1-12) and Hosea (Chapter 8:1-14), in which these prophets condemned the Jews “who abhor justice and pervert all equity” and who “build Zion with blood and Jerusalem with wrong.”

These prophets cursed Israel as a “useless vessel among nations,” and called for the curse of God to “send a fire upon [Judah’s] cities” and to make Jerusalem “a heap of ruins.” Prophet Ezekiel called Israel, “the house of rebels and a rebellious nation.” (Ezek. Chapter 2)

Similarly, in the Book of Deuteronomy (28:16-68), Moses warns the Jews that God “will send upon you curses, confusion, and frustration, in all that you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and perish quickly, on account of the evil of your doings, because you have forsaken me” (28:20). In the Gospel of Matthew (23:13-39), Jesus repeatedly admonishes the Jews for their hypocrisy and injustice, and condemns them for the killing of past prophets.

Jesus says, “You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?” Further he says “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not! Behold, your house is forsaken and desolate.”

It’s ironic that Muslims have made Mohammed’s tomb a place of worship (a mosque).

:eek: so it is true? Mohammed cursed the Jews and the Christians and you guys are okay with it???!!?! That is all I really wanted to hear. My time on these non-Catholic forums are limited. I cant stand being here anymore, I came to a conclusion that you cant defeat evil (Islam) though the internet. Its pointless. I have heard that Ahmed Deedat (a Muslim debator) cursed himself by saying if he was wrong, Allah should silence him. Well, we all know how unfortunutally he died. But yeah, I just cant believe what Islam allows. No wonder why Imams curse Jews and Christians in their Mosques during prayer . This is outrages!

and Islam is supposed to be a religion of peace??? How if the founder himself was evil to the day he died? This is a cult influenced by true elements of faith…no wonder its so decieving. May Jesus the Son of Allah guide us all!

are you serious?! Hypocrites to the fullest.

I am so glad I am affiliated with gentle Muslims here in Germany who propably don´t take their religion seriously. I guess they are more blessed because they behave like true Christians and not like Mohammed.

The problem with this statement is that Muhamed didn’t believe that Jesus is God but “merely” a prophet. Therefore, since Muhamed does not believe, then he would make such a statement.

Jesus is God. We are praising God. You, as a Muslim, do not believe this so you get things wrong.

BTW, I do agree with this statement. Do not praise Muhamed as we praise Jesus Christ. Period. Muhamed is a false prophet.

Consider praising our Lord AND Saviour, Jesus Christ (who IS God) rather than following the lies of a false prophet. I promise you you can’t go wrong. :wink:

Yeah man, I understand but the fact that mohammed cursed JEWS and Christians on his last moments on this planet did surprise me. How do you curse other people right before you die? Is this a prophet? NO.

Since when did the hadiths become Fact ??

hadiths were written 200 years(After Mohammed ) in a time of political instability and religious wars…

Sahih Bukhari is a collection of sayings and deeds of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), also known as the sunnah. The reports of the Prophet’s sayings and deeds are called ahadith.

Bukhari lived a couple of centuries after the Prophet’s death and worked extremely hard to collect his ahadith. Each report in his collection was checked for compatibility with the Qur’an, and the veracity of the chain of reporters had to be painstakingly established.

**Bukhari’s collection is recognized by the overwhelming majority of the Muslim world to be one of the most authentic collections of the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh). **

Bukhari (full name Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ibrahim bin al-Mughira al-Ja’fai) was born in 194 A.H. and died in 256 A.H. His collection of hadith is considered second to none.

He spent sixteen years compiling it, and ended up with 2,602 hadith (9,082 with repetition). His criteria for acceptance into the collection were amongst the most stringent of all the scholars of ahadith.

It is important to realize, however, that Bukhari’s collection is not complete: there are other scholars who worked as Bukhari did and collected other authentic reports.

Nobody ?? of course you will consider it 100% FACT…

if a gnostic gospel is found and in it Jesus says “I’m not God” …Muslims of course will consider it 100% FACT…

there is only one infallible book for ALL muslims ,the Quran…

there about 1 Million hadiths …it’s impossible that they all came from one person…

Imam Hanbl (great 4th AH century imam) rejected about 90% of the hadiths at his time…

This is a false statement. (I also believe it is a lie that Muslims will consider this 100% fact.)

And this is why that first statement is false. Because a gnostic gospel is NOT the Koran, and by this statement, you cannot inherently trust the gnostic gospel because to do so would invalidate this second statement. Essentially you would be saying there is more than one infallible book, which you don’t believe.

The “chasing one’s tail” of Islam. Gotta love it. :thumbsup:

How can a book which has undergone so much after mohamads death be infallible? I posted under another thread the different books up until Uthmans time plus we’ve talked about in other areas on CAF regarding the 7 different readings of the koran through time.

BTW, the “1 million hadiths” did not come from one person, but a many group of people of the time.

Volume 1, Book 8, Number 426:

Narrated 'Aisha:

Um Salama told Allah’s Apostle about a church which she had seen in Ethiopia and which was called Mariya. She told him about the pictures which she had seen in it. Allah’s Apostle said, “**If any righteous pious man dies amongst them, they would build a place of worship at his grave and make these pictures in it; they are the worst creatures in the sight of Allah.” **

Volume 1, Book 8, Number 427:

Narrated 'Aisha and 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas:

When the last moment of the life of Allah’s Apostle came he started putting his ‘Khamisa’ on his face and when he felt hot and short of breath he took it off his face and said, “**May Allah curse the Jews and Christians for they built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets.” **The Prophet was warning (Muslims) of what those had done.

Well lets see - mohamad died and is buried in a tomb which muslim go and see and touch, they have collected pieces of his hair, there is box containing stuff in it that belonged to mohamad, his sword, his ring… etc… etc…

These things/items/tomb mosques are dedicated to mohamad that muslims go and see.

The reverent love and devotion accorded a deity, an idol, or a sacred object.

The ceremonies, prayers, or other religious forms by which this love is expressed.

Ardent devotion; adoration.**

The death of Muhammad

The prophet of Islam died from an illness aggravated by poison. After his conquest of the predominantly Jewish city of Khaybar (or Khaibar) in AD 628, a Jewish woman offered him mutton (sheep) that she had poisoned.

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet in his ailment in which he died, used to say, “O 'Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison.” Volume 5, Book 59, Number 713:

There are hadiths that state that the Jew/Jews poisoned the meat to see if mohamad was a true prophet that allah would save him from the poison. Well, that didn’t happen.

But besides this, mohamads biggest concern was “gee, I have to switch wives every night so each one of them can take care of me”…!!!

Narrated 'Aisha: that during his fatal ailment, Allah’s Apostle, used to ask his wives, “Where shall I stay tomorrow? Where shall I stay tomorrow?” He was looking forward to Aisha’s turn.

So all his wives allowed him to stay where he wished, and he stayed at 'Aisha’s house till he died there. 'Aisha added: He died on the day of my usual turn at my house.

Allah took him unto Him while his head was between my chest and my neck and his saliva was mixed with my saliva. Volume 7, Book 62, Number 144:

He curses Jews and Christians for taking graves as places of worship:

Allah’s messenger ordered those closest to him to do three things, the first of which is to eject pagans out of the Arabian Peninsula. Volume 5, Book 59, Number 716:

Sura 9:5, coming late in Muhammad’s life, gives the pagans the “option” to convert. If not, they die by the sword.

Narrated 'Aisha:
When Allah’s Apostle was healthy, he used to say, “No prophet dies till he is shown his place in Paradise, and then he is given the option (to live or die).” So when death approached him(during his illness), and while his head was on my thigh, he became unconscious for a while, and when he recovered, he fixed his eyes on the ceiling and said, “O Allah! (Let me join) the Highest Companions (see Qur’an 4:69),”

I said, “So, he does not choose us.” Then I realized that it was the application of the statement he used to relate to us when he was healthy.

So that was his last utterance (before he died), i.e. “O Allah! (Let me join) the Highest Companions.” Volume 8, Book 75, Number 359:

Narrated 'Aisha:
I heard the Prophet and listened to him before his death while he was leaning his back on me and saying, “O Allah! Forgive me, and bestow Your Mercy on me, and let me meet the companions.” Volume 5, Book 59, Number 724:

To sum up this section, mohamad curses Jews and Christians;
he orders the pagans out of the Peninsula (or they could convert or die);
he yearns for the highest status in Islamic heaven;
and he begs Allah for forgiveness.

he was old ; died from old age complications. How it is a cursed death ?

Can you please provide source of mohamads death due to “age complications”…

I think she meant Ahmed Deedat- Benjamin said he cursed himself and died an unfortunate death. I have no idea if this is true or not - I’ll have to see what I can find. :slight_smile:

Here’s what I found so far:

Illness and Death 1996-2005
On May 3, 1996, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat suffered a stroke which left him paralyzed from the neck down, and also meant that he could no longer speak or swallow. He was flown to King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, where he was taught to communicate through a series of eye-movements. He spent the last nine years of his life in a bed in his home in Verulam, South Africa, encouraging people to engage in Da’wah (Islam propagation). He continued to receive hundreds of letters of support from around the world, but was a target to many missionaries who tried to convert him to Christianity, to which he replied -via eye movements- with verses from the scriptures[13]. On August 8, 2005, Ahmed Deedat died at his home on Trevennen Road in Verulam in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. He is buried at the Verulam cemetery.[14] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmed_Deedat

He was born in 1918, so he was 87. I don’t know how old he was when he cursed himself. ???

But I don’t think being paralyzed from the neck down for 9 years would be considered an old-age complication.
