Jamie suffers from OCD, and over the last year or so has become more and more obsessive on religious themes.
At this point, he’s more and more tormented by obsessive religiously-themed ideas.
He’s convinced that demons are tormenting him relentlessly.
He sees signs and wonders, mostly dark and frightening, in everything around him, and is terrified that he’s already sentenced to hell.
He refuses to even consider seeing a doctor about his OCD because he thinks that would be a sin.
His agoraphobia is back, or else he’s just too worn down by his pain to bother going anywhere.
I live too far away to have any chance of doing anything for him directly. Prayer is all I can do for him. He doesn’t want to let me do that because he’s convinced the Catholic Church is demonic.
Hail Mary
Full of Grace
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed are thou among women,
And Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Could you tell Jamie that in the Bible, Luke was a physician. Medicine comes from God as do doctors.
Christ also referred to doctors, saying that only sick people need a doctor. He didn’t say anything was wrong with going to to them. Had there been something wrong with that, surely he would have mentioned it.
I believe Jaime would benefit from seeing a psychologist as the first step.
Hail Mary
Full of Grace
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed are thou among women,
And Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.
I pray that you give me the strength and faith to overcome my OCD. I ask for each day a big improvement in my condition so I can serve you with an open heart and an undistracted mind once more. I’m not asking for an instant cure but rather improvement each and every day until I am soon whole again. I love you, my savior. I make my prayer through the merits of Your suffering and death. Amen.
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

St Therese of Lisieux who endured a period of scrupulosity, and was cured through prayer and faith, please pray for Jamie that he will grow in trust in God as his loving and merciful Father.
