I was going through a break-up last week with a man i thought i would be spending the rest of my life with. I found this prayer and did the 9-day novena. I found comfort in this prayer and I found that this made it easier for me to go through the first few days. Within the 9 days, at least we started talking again. I will continue to pray that our relationship will be healed and that we will have an even stronger foundation for a future ahead together.
I hope this prayer will be of help to others out there too.
Novena To St. Dwynwen
Oh Blessed Saint Dwynwen, you who knew pain and peace, division and reconciliation. You have promised to aid lovers and you watch over those whose hearts have been broken. As you received 3 boons from an Angel, intercede for me to receive 3 blessings to obtain my heart’s desire(state request) or if that’s not Gods will, a speedy healing from my pain your guidance and assistance that I may find love with the right person at the right time and in the way, and an unshakable faith in the boundless kindness and wisdom of God and this I ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord AMEN. St.Dwyn, we beseech thee, comfort lovers whose vision is unclear. Send mending to those with love lost. Protect companions. In your name we seek to do the same. In your name we choose love first. With the love of you, Mary and of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Note: Pray for 9 days or 9 hours straight. Publication must be promised.
Our Father who art in heaven;
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation:
but deliver us from evil.
Father please comfort this person and all who are enduring the suffering of break-ups.
Please help them to heal and to find the blessed future that You desire for them
Father,
Please let those dealing with heartbreak during a time of the year when love is celebrated find comfort in Your Love. Please reveal Your Love to them and heal or fill their hearts. Amen.
The love of my life and the man that I thought I would marry ended our year long relationship yesterday morning. I was very involved with his family and his two young daughters. I am experiencing a pain and grief like never before. I started this novena yesterday and promise to post updates.
Can someone please tell me what “Publication must be Promised” means?
It has been 24 hours and every time I feel weak I say this Novena over and over again. I am going on day 2 and feel slightly better. I feel that this prayer gives me hope and strength.
This prayer has really worked. I have felt a peace and acceptance that I did not think I would ever feel. He has reached out to me but I know if this still does not work out that I will be okay because God is working in my favor and I will accept his will and not my own desires.
Thank you for sharing this…i really need this right now. I read the story of St. Dwynwen and it made me cry…My heart is currently teared into pieces…i pray that all who suffers from heartbreak will find their way to overcome it.
I hope this prayer will be of help to others out there too.
