Absentee ballots may have been destroyed in crash
Federal officials say that absentee ballots being sent to U.S. military serving in Afghanistan may have been burned in a plane crash.
A top official in the Federal Voting Assistance Program this week notified election officials across the nation that a transport plane crashed at Shindad Air Base on Oct. 19.
The crash resulted in the destruction of 4,700 pounds of mail inbound to troops serving in the area.
Federal officials in their email to state election offices said they did not know if any ballots were destroyed. They also said the lost mail was limited to one zip code.
But they recommended that election officials resend a new ballot to anyone who requested one since the first ballot may have been destroyed in the crash and fire.

Thursday was a busy day for the polls, with some bright spots for each candidate. But it made clear that Barack Obama maintains a narrow lead in the polling averages in states that would get him to 270 electoral votes. Mr. Obama also remains roughly tied in the polls in two other states, Colorado and Virginia, that could serve as second lines of defense for him if he were to lose a state like Ohio.

Nbc/wsj/marist said Colarado was 48, 48 and the poll had a questionable racial make up with Hispanics and Whites. Sample: democrat 34, republican 33; independent 32 so democrat plus 1 when the 2008 sample was republican plus 1 and in 2004 republicans had a 9 point advantage over democrats. The poll has a tie for Romney and Obama and assumes Colarado will have a lrger democrat turn out than in 2008

_Abyssinia, I’m sure the Obama supporters say the same about your “biased” polls. They all show that Romney and Obama are close. Their are assumptions built into each model making them all subjective. Are you actively campaigning for Romney or do you do this purely out of enjoyment?
Polls are biased to somebody who does not agree them. That is why it is good to look at the sample of the polls and that is how you work out whether they are credible or not

Rasmussen is showing a toss-up in the electoral college. I believe they and Gallup are credible. But this likely means that there will be a recount dragging this painful election on. I wonder if it doesn’t turn out well for the Obama if the leftists and anarchists will riot?

I think most if not all of the toss up states were lean Obama a few months ago. Obama had a lead in the national polls before the 1st debate. That debate changed momentum
CNN is saying it’s going to be very difficult for Romney to win this election without Ohio, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

Wow, aside from the truth Obama tells, what about, say, Solyndra? When Solyndra filed for bankruptcy, The Obama adminstration said it was from the Bush adminstration. When it was pointed out that under Bush, the loan to Solyndra was not approved, and it was granted to Solyndra under pressure from the [Obama]White House, The adminstration was silent. When it was brought up again later, Obama said it was Congress which caused the loan to be made.
When asked about his stance against the Babies Born Alive bill in Illinois, Obama said he had worked, spoken, and voted against it because it might infringe on “a woman’s right to choose.” When it was pointed out that the final bill’s language had been approved by NARAL, he again had nothing to say.
In the debates, Obama said that he was frustrated by Congress in doing some things he had promised to do right away, like work on immigration. Obama had a super-majority in both houses so he should have had no problem getting them to put through immigration reform.
All this off the top of my head without even mentioning Benghazi. Sorry, i see that Obama lies whenever it suits his purposes.
I haven’t seen Romney lie; I think at a minimum he will understand what needs to happen to allow businessmen to feel comfortable enough to expand and start hiring again. I cannot imagine his doing more harm to unborn children than Obama, and I hope he will do some good for them. And I also hope that he will be able to streamline the government in a way which will allow us to help those in need as much as possible while spending less, considering that 3 times the amount which benefits the poor directly is spent on admin costs.
CNN is not as biased as MSNBC, but it is still biased.

In addition have any of you noticed, how the liberals on CNN in Anderson Coopers show,
like the VanJones guy, or Carville, or Gloria Borger, get so emotional, defensive when trying
to defend Obama.
And now compare the 2 supposedly Republicans, they will actually give credit when
credit is due, when talking about Obama, the liberals do not do the same.
I used to really like Anderson Coopers show, but it is all biased as well 
The reality checks, fact checking also lean towards Obama.
Also, look at how much if any time has been given to the Benghazi attack, etc.?
