Please pray for her body to recover soon. Her whole body is swollen and red and itches everywhere, even her scalp and eyelids. Her life is not in danger, but she is in so much pain and it has already been two days of this.She looks so miserable and pitiful. She is only 8yo.Thank you for your prayers today. Thank you all so much for your prayers. The hives are so disfiguring, and they are migrating down her face. I cannot even recognize my sweet daughter’s face anymore.
I am continuing with the antihistamine regimen the doctor prescribed to reduce the swelling, but it is so hard to wait this out.

I totally empathize with what your little daughter is going through.
Back when I was 12, I had an allergic reaction to something where I broke out in hives all over, just like your daughter.
Prayers said for her quick recovery, healing, and comfort.
The same thing happened to my sister when she was in kindergarten! Playing hard for your daughter!

I will certainly pray for her. My dad and sister are allergic to penicillin too. And my sister is also allergic to bee stings, wasps, oysters. My dad is allergic to sulfur drugs as well. I have seen these kind of shared allergies in others, so you might want to have her checked for other allergies when she is feeling better.
If you have not done this, may I suggest you get her a medical alert tag to wear? If she is alone this will help medical staff know this allergy should she be ill and can’t tell them herself. I hope she feels better soon. I know it takes some time for the symptoms to leave, so she has to be watched carefully for a while. Poor baby.
I made another post about this, but please do watch her carefully, and keep her calm. Has she been put on any steroids for this? Sometimes they are needed if the symptoms don’t resolve quickly. I have seen my sister like this, and yes hives look horrid, but the swelling needs to be really watched.

Penicillin Allergy Symptoms
Trouble breathing
A less common but more serious, sudden-onset allergic reaction to penicillin is anaphylaxis, which occurs in highly sensitive patients. Anaphylaxis occurs suddenly, can worsen quickly and can be deadly. Symptoms of anaphylaxis might include not only skin symptoms, but also any of the following:
Tightness in the chest and difficulty breathing
Swelling of the tongue, throat, nose and lips
Dizziness and fainting or …
These symptoms require immediate attention at the nearest Emergency Room. Epinephrine, the therapy of choice, will be given in this urgent care setting…
Well, I’ve scoured the internet and cannot find a good patron saint for allergies, allergic reactions or hives. We need one. Someone wrote that Ven. Solanus Casey suffered from hives- I don’t remember that myself, but it’s been awhile since I read his biography. However, I think he would be a great choice to pray to for this condition, because he healed sooooo many people in Jesus’ Name with all sorts of health conditions.

She is very allergic to mosquito bites as well. One mosquito bite can make her whole arm swell up. She has to have antihistamines for that, too. And she is mildly allergic to almonds.
She will be getting a medical alert bracelet after all this, as will I, who am also allergic to penicillin. Her reaction this time is not life-threatening, but who knows how bad it could be if penicillin drugs were administered before I was asked about allergies the next time (we are rarely asked about drug allergies).
