One of my former ice hockey teammates just passed away after more than a year’s battle with cancer. He became a rather militant atheist towards the end, and though I (and others) discussed the topic with him trying to convince him to soften his heart to God, I felt like it was to no avail (unless God alone knows differently). So I’m very anxious about the state of his soul, and would love prayers that he might have repented before the end. Also, of course, prayers for his family and friends would be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you all

**I’m praying for the repose of your beloved friends soul. Hopefully, before he breathed his last, he came the Love of God. He sounds like he’s quite young. He has many out there: you, his famlily, his team, so let’s all hope he’s in purgatory and can be prayed out!
