Hello! I also posted this over the summer, but I must say I am really tired of being called short.
I am a girl who is about 5’2-5’2 1/2 who turns 18 in February . I really want to be about 5’5-5’7. My mom is 5’4. My dad is 5’7. I do stretches. I ask God almost daily if He may ‘make’ me taller (according to His Will).
I don’t know if I grew maybe a half inch or so over the course of the summer, because last time I posted I believe I said I was 5’1 1/2.
Please, I know there are other prayer intentions which probably deserve more prayers than this, but it would be much appreciated if I could have some extra height (through your prayers) and God’s Power.
My height makes me feel so insecure! :’(
I really want to be a little taller. I hope that’s not to much to ask of God. I mean, He created the whole universe and all it’s majesty and beauty. Surely, it’s not to much to ask of Him for some extra height?
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” -Matthew 7:7
“Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed.” -Psalm 16:3 (NLT)
I hope I don’t seem vain. I hope I have enough faith in God for this ‘miracle’ to happen.
I hope I don’t stop growing till I’m 21 or so! I hope I don’t sound ‘desperate’.
You are already a great height as far as I’m concerned, but I will pray. :o
Lord, in accord with the Father’s sovereign and merciful will, hear CrispSnowflake’s intention, that by its answer, she might be able to better serve you, the Church, and those in need. Send angels to minister to her as she prays for this and any intention. Grant her always many graces for joy, faith, hope, love, trust, and wisdom. Lead her through every suffering and joy in life toward the eternal kingdom. Have mercy, Lord and shine your divine light into this wounded world. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.
I was the same as you. When I was growing up the males around me were growing and I wasn’t growing that much and used to stand on my tippy toes to look taller. I am male and nearly 30 years old now and only 5.6. I was also insecure and I know many people are but you know what you will find to accept it.
If you must know Men dont care about a females height :). If that helps you at all. I KNOW THIS MAY NOT BE THE CASE FOR A WOMEN in a man so I wish I was taller but I cannot change that. You are still kind of young I would you up the internet and find out what foods help you maybe grow tall like drinking more milk and maybe play basket ball which helps you stretch.
Hello there. I didn’t stop growing until I was 25, and by then I was 5’3", so don’t give up hope. Children are usually taller than their parents, so you may sprout a bit more yet. But if you want to be really tall, you chose the wrong father!
High heels would make you 5’4-5’5. Heels on boots too. Though you really are almost average for a woman. do you slouch, making yourself appear shorter? Or play a sport dominated by taller people? Maybe you have a longer torso and shorter legs, which you can learn to dress around so it isn’t so noticeable. there are also clothing styles that make you appear taller (short people shouldn’t wear long straight skirts/dresses). I really don’t think this is a legit prayer request. You can pray and tell God about your anxieties about being short. You can makes requests of God all day long and he can say no, no, no, but he does want us to share ourselves with him, so at least you’d be getting a yes by praying in this way.
Your problem isn’t your height. It’s your security about your body. Just like weight loss is never a solution to a body security problem.
God intended your height to be exactly what your height is. He thinks its perfect for you, and it is. He made you exactly the way He wants you.
The best you can do now at this point is pray for more confidence in yourself and to realize that your self-worth is not dictated by how your body looks, and shouldn’t be defined in that manner by you or ANYONE.
Look, I’m 4’11". I know how awkward it is being so small, sometimes. Almost everyone in my family is over 5’6", and I’m subject to much teasing. But most of the time, I’ve grown to know that it means the person likes me and knows I won’t take it personally.
You won’t like your body at any height if you don’t learn to like it how it is. It’s similar as with weight loss. I hated my body no less at 95 pounds than I did when I started starving myself at 115 pounds.
Learn to love yourself and love how God made you, because He sure does.
It seems to me that from this and other threads of yours, you seem to be much too overly concerned and occupied with your personal appearance. God bless you, because this is not good.
