Question about prayer & Christmas

I pray the divine chaplet and the rosary daily. The past few days I have been praying the chaplet and all 4 mysteries of the rosary daily.

Tommorow being Christmas day, would it be proper to pray only the joyful mysteries? The Bible says “To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven…a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.” Ecc 3:1,5

Should I rejoice more in the joy of Christmas and focus only on the joyful mysteries, not taking the joy of Christmas away by focusing on the sorrowful mysteries also?

Thank you & Merry Christmas.

I’ve been pretty much concentrating more on the joyful mysteries throughout Advent…I think its a good idea!

Dear “Born2beCatholic” While the Sorrowful Mysteries… are just that… sorrowful; still, I can’t think of a better way to acknowledge Our Lord’s great sacrifice and love for us… and to honor Him, on His birthday… than by contemplating the Sorrows of His Passion, along with all the Mysteries of His Life. My humble opinion, is that all of the Mysteries are fine for Christmas.

Your devotion to Him, and to the Holy Rosary of Our Blessed Mother… has touched my heart deeply. I thank you for your example… and Merry Christmas to you.

I plan on praying the Joyful mysteries today and the Sorrowful mysteries tomorrow. It also wouldn’t be improper to pray the Glorious mysteries for the very reason that Christ was born of the womb so that he might be born of the tomb!

That is best for me, also. :yup:
