The Vatican – After initially printing a glowing report on the administration of President Barack Obama and claiming he had not made any radical changes on the issue of abortion, the editor of L’Osservatore Romano, the daily newspaper for the Vatican, has provided insight on why the report overlooked Obama’s pro-abortion record.
Despite his immediate moves to promote abortions in other nations and field an administration marked by the selection of prominent abortion advocates, Giovanni Maria Vian, the editor of the paper, claims Obama is not pro-abortion.
Absurd. What do you call support for legalized abortion and support for the “right” of people to abort their children? That, by definition, is pro abortion.
Is the catholic church loosing its true vaules? First notre dame and now this? This is ludacris, the faith which I love is now becoming this political machine.
How can Barrack not be pro-abortion, he encatced as an executive order to send money overseas for “population control”
Washington D.C., May 21, 2009 (CNA).- Two Catholic commentators are lamenting the “sorry ignorance of recent American history” displayed by L’Osservatore Romano—the newspaper published by the Vatican—in its favorable reaction to President Obama’s recent commencement speech at Notre Dame. However, they caution, readers should not make the mistake of thinking that the newspaper speaks for the Catholic Church.
