Was Jesus born on September 11th, 3 B.C. ?

I did a study on the 33.5 years of the life of Jesus and found out through scripture that Jesus was born on the Feast of Trumpets on September 11th 3 B.C. and he was conceived on Hanukkah December 13th 4 B.C. This can be validated through scripture by calculating the time of birth of his cousin, John the Baptist who was exactly 6 months older (See Luke 1).

John the Baptist’s Father Zechariah was a Priest in the Temple after the division of “Abijah.” In 2nd Chronicles 24 we find what time of year the division of Abijah would serve in the temple. Therefore when the angel Gabriel announced to Zechariah that his wife Elisabeth would conceive a son, we know what time of year that was and from that we know when John the Baptist was conceived. So we count 271 days forward (normal gestation period) and we find that John the Baptist was born on Passover in 3 B.C. We count 180 days (6 months) forward and we find that Jesus was born on a Holy Day of Israel called “Yom Teruah” (Day of Blowing Trumpets) (See Leviticus 23). This day is also the “Head of the Year” in Hebrew it is “Rosh” (Head) Ha’Shanah (The Year).

The Catholic Church made up “Christ Mass” to assimilate Jesus to the pagan sun god that was always “reincarnated” each December 25th on the winter solstice in astrology! “Tammuz” was this pagan sun-god also known as “Baal.” God showed this to Ezekiel in Ezekiel 8 that they were worshiping this pagan sun god in Israel and he said it is an Abomination!

So why is this so important? Because Jesus’ real date of birth validates prophecy! The Bible tells us in Revelation 18:10, that “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Now by understanding all this, I came up with an exact time-line of “Daniel’s 70th Week” from the “going forth of the command to rebuild Jerusalem” (Daniel 9:24) which was the decree given by King Cyrus in 457 B.C. There are 70 weeks X 7 years=490 years for the length of this prophecy. The word “weeks” here in Daniel 9:24-27 is the Hebrew word “Shebuah” which means a “seven year period” hence “Seventy Weeks” means 70 times 7, which is the exact same formula that Jesus gave his disciples when they asked him “how many times we should forgive our brother?” In other words 70 X 7 = FORGIVENESS!

When the 490 year prophecy is completed, there will be a completeness to God’s atonement for sin towards all of mankind. Some will receive it and some will reject it, but it will be finished in the earth!

Okay, so lets add 486.5 years to 457 B.C. and we come to the exact date that Jesus died on the cross which was Wednesday, April 3rd, in 30 A.D. This day was the Passover on the Jewish Calendar. There is no such thing as “Good Friday.” Good Friday discredits Jesus and makes it appear that he lied when he said he would be “three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Good Friday puts him in the heart of the earth only 1 day, not 3.

The day after his crucifixion, was an annual Sabbath called the “Feast of Unleavened Bread” and then 2 days later was the weekly Sabbath.

From these dates we find that Jesus fulfilled the first 3.5 years of Daniel’s 70th week leaving only 3.5 years to complete of this 490 year prophecy. The last half of Daniel’s 70th Week (3.5 years), picks up with the antichrist setting up the “Abomination of Desolation” in the 3rd Jewish Temple, and this is when the “Tribulation” period actually begins. (Matthew 24:15-21) Concurrently, the “two witnesses” in Revelation 11 will also have a ministry that lasts for 1,260 days (3.5 years).

Yes, we can figure out the date on which the Angel Gabriel came to Zechariah.

But what Luke emphatically does NOT state is that Elizabeth conceived immediately. In fact Luke 1:24 simply says Elizabeth conceived ‘after those days’ which could be any amount of time, and on the face of it implies that there was a certain period of delay after Gabriel’s announcement.

Remember how many years Abraham waited for Isaac even after God promised him a son?

You’re falling into the same trap as those who assume that the wise men are supposed to have visited Joseph and Mary on the night Jesus was born, and therefore that the accounts of the Flight into Egypt contradict accounts of them visiting the Temple twice.

What historical proof do you have that the CC made up the Christmas?

So why is this so important? Because Jesus’ real date of birth validates prophecy! Do you truly believe the CC teaches false doctrine? It’s unlikely.

I visited the website and it’s a typical Anti-Catholic website. I believe that the Catholic Church is the Church Jesus founded on Peter for over 2,000 yrs. I don’t think your testimony will convince any Catholic.

I’ve been Catholic for 31 yrs, and I studied Catholicism and none of its doctrine are false. Not one.

The Church does not official made any statement that Jesus was born on December 25. It’s been practiced due to our traditions. It also celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ. Why do you think celebrating JC birthday is pagan? Jesus isn’t a pagan God.

I’m getting fed up about Protestants making LIES that Catholicism is Pagan in origin. Are they that stupid to believe false history? There is no proof at all.

Sounds interesting but you haven’t supplied any evidence to back up these claims. So with out any evidence everything you presented should be considered false.

The choice of December 25th for the celebration of Christmas has little to do with speculation about the actual day of Jesus birth. The actual day is simply unknown. It is my understanding that the Church largely selected December 25 because of the liturgical calendar. The Church worked backward from the celebration of the Resurrection/Easter in setting important dates like Christmas for the sake of the liturgy. When one analyzes the liturgical calendar and all of the scripture readings as organized from Sunday to Sunday it all makes good sense.

Arguments over what day Jesus was born are pointless and do not bear fruit. It is much more reasonable to simply accept Christian tradition on these matters and celebrate accordingly. The important thing is that we properly celebrate and recognize all of the great events of scripture within the liturgical calendar.

So you got your source from a person on MySpace? I do not think that counts as scholarship.

Amen!

I am sorry that I did not initially read the opening post carefully but:

It sounds like she is a dispensationalist.

Uh no,

Jesus Christ was likely born on the 25th of December in 2 BC, If the infallibility of the pope’s word for him being born on December 25th doesn’t do it for you, then this is what had me convinced he was born on that date, or a date close to it(as it was most definably the date the magi arrived in Bethlehem):

starofbethlehem.net/

We now know the Catholic church is, as usual, far closer to the truth because it probably had the physical extra biblical evidence which existed in the day. Not the least of which includes the fact that we recently found out that Herod died in 1 BC.

The chruch’s opinion has always been at odds with most protestants and fundamentalists who believe the star was the same phenomena caused by god when he was present at a location(I.e The burning bush or the cloud at the tabanacle). The church has always held the belief it was an actual star because the magi would have known the nature of what they were seeing in the sky was odd as opposed to Herod who wuld not have noticed anything strange(as it says so in the bible that he didn’t see the signs).

They did, Pope Julius I set it as the day of Christ’s birth in the year 320AD, 5 years before Constantine declared it a holiday for Christ’s birthday(I only found this out myself when I questioned the protestant view that it was constantine who said it was the day, HE DIDN’T, it was the pope of the time who chimed in well before Constantine). It was a very long time ago they set that doctrine, but it’s still doctrine. Funny how Constantine is attributed to having created the date when the historian Sextus was the first one to calculate the date in the year 220, and the pope confirmed it himself before Constantine made it a public holiday. Protestants seem to conviently forget those two points, and worse, their arguments are so well presented that even catholics question the date without realizing it was the pope who legitimized it well before Constantine’s declaration of public holiday.

I think it is very likely that one individual, working alone, with sources in English, and any old bible translation, would be able to come up with this definitive information, and that 2000 years of Christian teaching and theological reflection on the topic are utterly useless, and the combined great minds of the Church are utterly unable to speak on the topic. I think this person should start their own church, through their own blog.

I thought we weren’t supposed to use Scripture for numerology and divination purposes…and that we weren’t supposed to be dabbling in divination at all. How do some people get themselves around that so easily?

As I stated in another thread concerning the birth date of Jesus…WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Pick a day,any day,its not important WHEN Jesus was born but the fact that God became like one of us in all things except sin. That is what we celebrate.

Not quite.

Here’s a good article on this whole business:

But as a previous poster stated, who cares?

Numerology and Divination are not “reading the stars”, they are worshiping the stars and using them in your life in place of god rather than as a tool of god who, as genesis says put the stars in the sky for us to “read” for signs as to seasons, years, days and the like, there is also a passage in revelations which tells us there will be “sings in the heavens” that Christ will return which will coincide with his return. To read the stars is different than to worship the stars. You cannot use the stars to “predict the future” and the like, but we are encouraged by god to use them as signs from him as to events currently happening. After all it is a star which heralded the birth of Christ, and the original form of calculating the dates for passover was by reading the moon’s lunar cycles, something Christians still use but Jews dropped after the standardization of their calendar.

Once again there is a difference between Numerology, Divination and “Reading the signs of the Stars”, after all the Magi themselves were both astrologists and astronomists.

It is in fact infallible doctrine(even though it was declared so long ago), which is why it is very very important as catholics we accept the 25th of December because of the infallibility of the pope.

December 25 as the birthday of Christ is not an infallible teaching. It is a tradition.

Real Catholics know the difference.

Are you Catholic Colliric?

Colliric, you list yourself as Pentecostal and then say ‘we Catholics’ in your post? What gives?

It is unimportant just when Christ was born just so we know with faith that He was born, died and rose from the dead. Sheperds in the field tending their sheep would indicate a mild time of the year (fall, spring maybe) but that doesnt take away from the miracle of the Incarnation.

Many in the church established the date of 25 Dec to de-emphasis the winter solstic and pagan winter worship days. It was quite common to build Christian churches over pagan temples to wipe away any semblance of pagan traditions.
