I recently filled out a form for a church group that asked for our ministry and/or apostolate. I’m not sure I know the difference. How would an apostolate be defined?

An apostolate is the field of evangelization to all people or to a specific segment of people, such as the elderly or the missions. A ministry is a particular work that people undertake within an apostolate, such as caring for the sick or teaching CCD.
