Cloisters

Well-known member
My organization promotes communities according to the liturgical cycle. Our CAMM/CCMM Cloisterite Ministry is given an actual list to pray for. We would like to share this list with you:

Romite Battistine: “Romite” is Italian for hermit. This particular group lives a communal, yet eremitical, lifestyle which is a perpetual Advent, and is dedicated to St. John the Baptist. They are very small and indigenous to Italy: (Please use Chrome for ease of translation):

Romite Ambrosiane: These hermit sisters also live in community and follow the Rule of St. Augustine. They, too, are indigenous to Italy (please use Chrome for ease of translation):

The Order of the Immaculate Conception (“Conceptionistas”) are indigenous to Spain where they have multiple associations. I have posted this particular page because it tells of the two different observances – one Franciscan and the other which is independent of the same (please use Chrome for ease of translation):

Adoration Nuns, Nigeria:
These nuns were founded by a Dominican friar in December, therefore, we remember them:

As posted previously, Foundation Day for the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth is December 1. The date was likely the First Sunday of Advent that year. Here is their link: http://www.scnfamily.org/
