Consider Adam and Eve in the garden before they “ate of the fruit” and sinned against God. If they had obeyed him and told Satan to go to Hell, God would have been apparently pleased. But what would be the future for Adam and Eve. They would apparently not know death or sickness of any kind. They would not know the difference between good and evil. The “knowledge of good and evil” would be a complete mystery to them. They would have dominion over the animals and who knows what else. Eve would not experience pain in childbirth. That alone would require a complete redesign of the female body. Their sons and daughters would share in the same wonderful future. There would be food aplenty for everyone, at least until the population grew to such an immense size that the planet could no longer support life both human and animal. Remember no one ever dies. Assuming animals did not eat each other to sustain life back then, this out of control growth would soon necessarily overwhelm the planet. OK maybe they would migrate to other planets but soon those would be over populated like the Earth. I cannot see any advantage to humankind if Adam and Eve had obeyed God, ie. if there were no original sin. Has anyone ever done a serious study of what might have happened if our first parents were completely obedient to their God given command to stay away from “that tree”.

No. Because God has eternal knowledge and God knew Adam and Eve would disobey or being deceived. Knowing of God did not forced them to commit that sin but God knew eternally.

It is not clear if that “Garden” was on the world or really in Heavens. But most of scholars say it was in Heavens. So there is no getting old or generating in Heavens. That case you assume is not possible to apply for God. God is omniscience and God has no joke. God had intend to exam humanbeing if he do good or evil.

All attributes of God want to manifest. For instance power of God want to create and eternal life wants to give life etc. God has mercy and grace and that attributes want to forgive sins. So God had created humanbeing with a very weak disposition which has very high tendency to sin.

There is only 1 version of Genesis and folks have a hard enough time understanding it.

You seem to have put a lot of thought into a ‘what if’ scenario, quite detailed.

I’m not sure I would agree with everything, but being a ‘what if’ as a change to a known (revealed) ‘past’ event (point in ‘time’ cause), I have no reason to debate any of it.

Creative though.

You’re making quite a presumption here, aren’t you? After all, you’re asserting not only that they might have obeyed God in that instance, but rather, in all future instances as well! So, the answer – I think – is that, even if Adam and Eve had obeyed in that one instance, they likely would have fallen into sin another time.

(Come to think of it, who’s to say that the Bible account relates the very first time they were tempted, anyway? The account we read might very well be the 20th time the serpent tried to tempt them!)

In any case, the answer is this: you can’t make the claims you’re making, since they presume that our first parents never would have sinned. That’s not a necessary condition.
They would not know the difference between good and evil.

You’re overthinking this story. You should just take it for what it is and focus on Christ. But to play along with you I would say this, Adam and Eve’s eternal lives came from eating the fruit from the tree of life. It is not indicated that the tree of life is everlasting, so it is possible that as the family of Adam and Eve continued to grow the tree of life would provide less and less fruit until it withered and they were no longer immortal.
