A bit of backstory. When I first started promoting the cloisters, I contacted the Norbertine Fathers to see if they could convince some of their nuns to move to Louisville KY and take over the building complex known as The Cloister. After receiving a letter from the Dutch monastery, saying they were unable to make an American foundation, I threw up my hands and told the Lord He was going to have to find five American women who could do this. The year was 1988 or thereabouts.
