What are the best seminaries in the US? I know they’re all good but are there any that are particularly distinguished?

I may be biased, but the Pontifical College Josephinum, as the only pontifical college in north America is particularly special

Salutations,
I know of St. Charles Bormeo in Phila. I saw smiling seminarians.
May God bless you for answering Gods call on your life.

Catholic University of America is a pontifical college, it just doesn’t use it in its name.

There are others in North America too. Remember: North America consists of Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America, and all of the Caribbean islands.

From the Wikipedia on the PCJ

To make sure that the fledgling institution would continue after his death, Father Jessing asked that it be placed under the protection of the Holy See. Pope Leo XIII granted the request in 1892, thus making the new institution, the Pontifical College Josephinum, the only pontifical seminary outside of Italy.

When I check Wikipedia (which is a lousy source for most things )This is what I found:

Boston College School of Theology, Boston, MA
The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC
International Marian Research Institute at the University of Dayton, Dayton, OH
Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University, Berkeley, CA
John Paul II Institute, Washington, DC
Pontifical College Josephinum, Columbus, OH
Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Ponce, PR
Pontifical Faculty at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake (Mundelein Seminary), Mundelein, IL
Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception (PFIC), Dominican House of Studies, Washington, DC
St. Mary’s Seminary and University, Baltimore, MD

**St Charles Borromeo in suburban Philadelphia is considered a top seminary for both college seminary & theological seminary
**Holy Apostles College & Seminary in Connecticut
**Mount St. Mary’s of the West Seminary in Cincinnati
St John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver
**Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit
Norte Dame Seminary in New Orleans
****University of St Thomas’s seminary in Houston

** seminary directly recommended by the National Catholic Register
**** affiliated with college that is recommended by National Catholic Register

I would imagine that the best seminary is the one your diocese or religious order sends you to.
