STATEN ISLAND, N.Y., October 4, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Theodore Shulman, a pro-choice activist who in 2010 threatened to kill several pro-life leaders, has been sentenced to 41 months in federal prison.

I did not see this posted anywhere else so I decided to post it for all to see.

That said, this is downright creepy. This man has issued death threats to at least a few pro-life people, including Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests For Life.

Honestly, I think that he is such a danger to society that perhaps he should be locked up for life.

Yes, we are not allowed to threaten people’s lives. A fair decision.

Good, but sentence was too short.
I agree. I feel that he is a threat to society. I don’t know if he ever acted on the threats or not but the website the article said he had seems to be an incitement of others to violence and that is why I think he should stay in prison. He may not act on the threats himself but he is likely to incite others to violence when he gets out.

I’m kindasurprised he didn’t speak at the Democrat Convention!

But according to Bill Mayer people on the left don’t talk like that! Therefore, this can’t be true…

No more surprised than I about Randy “Duke” Cunningham not being the introductory speaker at the GOP Convention.

If we give life sentences to people who threaten to kill others, what do we do to people who actually do kill others? A lack of proportionality tends to instill a contempt for law.

Had he any priors? Had he done this in the past? Had he gone beyond threats?
I don’t think he did anything besides make threatening comments However, when authorities investigated, they found that he possessed cyanide, castor beans and rosary peas.

Cyanide everyone knows, and I recognized castor beans as not only being toxic, but can also be converted into a very deadly poison called ricin. Rosary peas I had to look up, but they are even more deadly than castor beans.

Hope he can redeem himself
I don’t know if that is possible…he was a poster on Jill Stanek’s blog…and he was downright creepy…If he was in jail long enough…perhaps…but if you read who he is and his background shudders

3 1/2 years is NOT long enough. 30 years would be better.

What is it about Americans that they like to see convicts given very harsh sentences? In Europe, the sentence he got would be considered a rather severe one. 🤷

If he would’ve been caught w/ pot he would’ve got 41 years instead of months.

I don’t get it either. Murder is one thing, but threats are another.

Though seeing as how he did have poisons in his possession, and was threatening using them, I’d say the sentence was warranted.

The irony of a crazy man who threatens Priests, making weapons with parts called Rosary peas.

That’s right. Because in Europe the perpetrator of violent crime is considered the victim. city-journal.org/html/16_2_oh_to_be.html
If a crime of violence is committed, a conviction may be sustained, but a long incarceration is viewed with suspicion, as the imposition of a collective will over and above the highest good – the individual will that committed the crime.

But not to worry, that attitude is already across to our side of the Atlantic and spreading like the Black Death. homicidesurvivors.com/2011/09/25/the-elite-ruling-class-war-against-victims.aspx?view=threaded

No thanks to lawyers. – Jonathan Swift, Gulliver’s Travels

So I turn the question back and ask what is it with Europeans who consider the individual will supreme?

Really? Just for threatening someone? I have heard of people brutally beating someone until they need facial reconstructive surgery and they don’t get anywhere near that amount of jail time. I find it ironic that if this guy actually beat up the people he threatened he probably wouldn’t have even gone to jail…or maybe just for a few months.
