Good Afternoon,
I am confused as to the difference between a dogma and a doctrine.
The explanations I usually get confuse me. Need help.

Doctrrine are all the things that we believe as Catholics no matter how strong of a formula we use to explain the particular doctrine. Dogma are those doctrines that the Church has specifically addressed in such a way that we know them to be absolutely authoritative. Sometimes the terms are used interchangably because they both have to do with things that we must believe as Catholics but the heierarchy of dogma gives us various levels of certitude.
