The irony of a story that starts with the line "pushing back against the notion that masculinity is ‘toxic’ " by pushing against exactly what feminists mean by “toxic masculinity.”

From the article:
effeminacy: It’s a disordered attachment to pleasure.
So a woman’s ordered state is to be attached to pleasure? What a nonsensical definition…

There is a huge difference between “toxic masculinity” and the statement “masculinity is toxic”. Any Catholic worth their salt is opposed to “toxic masculinity” as it is understood by most reasonable people.

TRUE manhood, in the sense of being a responsible, moral man, a good provider, a faithful husband and a loving, present father, has never been under attack, except by the Devil of course. “Toxic masculinity” is this red pill stuff we see from time to time where some guy thinks being a man means denigrating women and ordering his wife/ girlfriend around, if not worse.

I have no idea why Fr. Ripperger would define “effeminacy” as “a disordered attachment to pleasure”. If he meant “SSA”, he should have come out and said so. He also should realize that many gay men are very masculine. Or he could have just said “weakness”. As it is, it sounds like he is denigrating females.
