While going to dinner tonight (about 4:45 PM) I was listen to the Catholic Radio Station (1090 AM) here in Detroit that I normally do not listen to. The person on there was talking about a startup production company to make family friendly films. The core group were all Catholics and I believe the name of the company was Origin Productions. Does anyone know anything about the company? I just caught the last part of the interview.

I know nothing about it. Unfortunately, I missed the radio program.

I did find an Origen Productions, which has been in existence for 20 years. Here is its filmography on IMDB. I doubt this is the same company…

On the other hand, Luke Films is a Catholic company.

There is one company called Grassroots Films that has been commissioned by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to produce a vocatons film called “Fishers of Men”. I’ve only seen trailers of their films, but they’re very good.

They also have some other excellent projects like one called “God in the Streets of New York” where the Blessed Sacrament is carried in one of the monstrances blessed by John Paul II before his death to honor the Year of the Eucharist and pray for vocations…
