He might have made bigger headlines if he had noted that the widespread use of contraception, a practice universally condemned by every Christian denomination up until 1930, had enabled the sexual revolution, and led in a direct line to more promiscuity, abortion, the destruction of marriage, and enabled same sex marriage.
Yes, but I don’t think that’s the kind of headline he wants. He seems to want to separate himself from faithful Catholics like Santorum.

I disagree that he’s justified his sin. He simply noted that he disagrees with the Church on this issue and will be judged by God for his use of ABC.
If he “disagrees” with the Church that ABC is sinful, how do you conclude anything other than he justifies it? This sounds like word games.

Doesn’t anyone else think it significant that the matter of contraception, which many Christians are frankly disobedient about or in other cases simply ignorant about, is also one of the main vehicles in which the government is eroding freedom of religion? Christie’s comments bring this to mind.

No offense, but why does Rick Santorum support Title X? In any case, I hope Gov. Christie will one day see the light when it comes to contraception and Church teaching in general.
