Confession ~ Pray for me~ It's been 7 years!

Well, I made it to Mass again today!
I’ve been procrastinating for some time now over going to Confession, today I determined that I would go next week, however, while at Church I discovered our Priest was leaving after Mass and will be away for a week. There will be no one to replace him while he is gone.

For those that are thinking ~ just go to another parish; the nearest priest is in the next town about 40 mins away, it’s winter here with lots of snow !
He didn’t offer to ‘fit me in’ before left, but had he, I would have declined as it is important for me to feel that it is a good reconcilliation…not rushed…

Anyway, I’ve now committed to a week on Monday…

Please pray that I make a good Confession, and to give me the strength to do this, that don’t make excuses or see obstacles placed in path as reasons to cancel.

You will be fine and I will be praying. I had more than 7 years and it was all good – the confession, that is. I had to make an appointment for mine.

And then last night I thought to go to regular confession as it’s been about 6 weeks, and confession was cancelled as the pastor was away and the visiting priest was not hearing confession. It happens.
