Nothing is impossible to God. But is God capable of having difficulty? Like how a human face a much stronger opponent in combat?

Nope. God lacks nothing, so there is nothing that could cause him troubles. Also, nothing exists that could give God problems because God is the source of all existence.

No. God has no stronger opponents. He’s God. He would not be put into that situation.

:hmmm: Unless He allowed it.

By creating beings with free will

and a knowledge of evil

who act upon that

to hurt others He loves.

Which is (to be fair to the quote above) not really a question of … THAT kind of strength.

Other references (we have to deal with) are when the Lord reveals that He has feelings!

As when a resurrected Jesus tells the pre-converted Saul of Tarsus (later St. Paul) that he’s been persecuting Him.

When St. Paul writes to a Church that the believers must not “grieve” nor “stifle” the Holy Spirit.

Jesus’ words at Judgement “What you do to the least of my brethren … you do to ME!”

“I was hungry and you did NOT feed me …” and like scriptures.

This isn’t really a contradiction of the quote above IMO … which is true as far as it GOES … but more a reminder of other aspects God (including the … GOOD NEWS … that He does, due to His not wanting to lose any souls to destruction (or self-destruction) .… have to deal with the fact that some of His children reject

Him,
His plans,
Would rather harm others than sacrifice for them,
and would rather go somewhere where God is NOT.

Jesus mentioned that he sometimes did not use his full power. I guess it’s obvious. If he did, he wouldn’t have had to die. I think God can do the same. He can choose to not use his full power if he wants. He many times relies on imperfect humans for holy work to get done. He doesn’t need us humans at all, but in his love he allows us to participate.

“I was appalled because no-one was with Me. My own right arm saves Me.”

He stays true to Himself.

He faced Jonah’s uncooperativeness (at first) in helping the Ninevites. History records the improved reign of Esarhaddon, just as Isaiah was being martyred under the young Manasseh.

We never know when it’s our turn to play our part, like in a relay race.
