Common sense answers would be nice.
Sorry, I’m too lazy for that. I’d rather instigate, then check in from time to time.Anyway you could just bypass the sugarcoating of beliefs by Muslims who are looking to gain converts, and do this. Read the Quran (“clear and straightforward guide to life for people of all times” that it is), the Sahih Hadiths, and Ibn Ishaq’s “Sirat Rasul Allah” on your own and this should give you enough of an idea of the man’s own morals right there.
I think Jesus does. Remember Jesus is God. What better morality can you get than from God himself!Sorry, I’m too lazy for that. I’d rather instigate, then check in from time to time.
one thing must be understood in order to understand Muslims.Common sense answers would be nice.
That’s really true! One friend I have that’s Muslim (our relationship has been quite volatile lately for obvious reasons) once asked me “For you, who decides what is right or wrong… is it the Pope, or what?” I was pretty shocked that he would be so accomodated to the idea, of one person just “deciding” what is wrong and right on some arbitrary basis.one thing must be understood in order to understand Muslims.
Morality to them is relative.
In Christian standard, Muhammad committed the worse crimes. To Muslims, these crimes were good because at that time, they were good, they argue.
I can’t imagine why anyone could ever think of someone who would do that as uncharitable.Sorry, I’m too lazy for that. I’d rather instigate, then check in from time to time.
The above was an attempt at humor. Sorry about that.I can’t imagine why anyone could ever think of someone who would do that as uncharitable.
“Common sense ain’t so common.” Because if it was, everyone would answer Jesus and not Muhammed. Not that anyone who posted voted Muhammed but when the muslims come back on-line, watch out.Common sense answers would be nice.

I think the Muslims will stay away from this topic. They know the answer and they don’t like it.“Common sense ain’t so common.” Because if it was, everyone would answer Jesus and not Muhammed. Not that anyone who posted voted Muhammed but when the muslims come back on-line, watch out.
To be fair, Jesus didn’t actually teach much specific morality,
the Sermon of the Mount alone is better than all Muhammad’s teachings combined…
cousin marriage is not forbidden in Islam.and Islam’s a huge improvement over the weirdness that had
the marriage to a kid is not the only problem…it’s many other thing like polygamy, sexual slaves, killing, looting, rape ecc. This is not my opinion…it’s all written in ahadith…
Or maybe they are trying to avoid people who think those who disagree with them to be fakes and liars.I think the Muslims will stay away from this topic. They know the answer and they don’t like it.
Please don’t be a dhimmi.(peace be upon him, just to be polite to other people’s prophets)
Doesn’t matter, Aisha was six when the “prophet” married her.marrying a 12-year-old was an entirely normal, conventional marriage at the time, and I believe he did it as a kindness to her father.
Simple question, does such a teaching come from mere human “common sense” and understanding?Jesus: "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you salute only your brethren, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?Common sense answers would be nice.
