Has anyone gone through this workbook or have any insights on it?
Thank you

I have not, but looking at his website blackaby.org/ and a web page about his workbook swcbc.org/exp_god/, it looks like standard protestant nondenom fare. Better than the Da Vinci code, but I’m sure there’s better Catholic material.

Thank you for the links. My wife is a non-denominational evangelical Christian and we are having trouble discussing anything spiritual. Someone suggested that we do this workbook together to help us communicate. Before I buy the workbooks and agree to this, it would be helpful if anyone had read the workbooks or are familiar with Mr. Blackaby’s teachings. Thanks again.

Greetings,
I looked in the website about the author and he is a Baptist minister in Canada, so I was slightly wrong about the nondenom label. In some ways this could be worse because, from what I’ve seen on apologetics threads, Baptists have a much more coherent anti-Catholic stance.

Sorry I can’t help you with any more details.

Actually, Blackaby is Southern Baptist, which is what I came from when I entered the Catholic Church. If there is any anti-Catholicism in Southern Baptist-ism as I experienced it, it is very mild. The Baptist churches that tend to be virulently anti-Catholic are more often the independent fundamentalist variety.

I’ve been thru the program, but more skipping across the surface than swimming deeply, so I can’t really speak to the OP’s question.

By the bye, there was an “Experiencing God” musical done based on the teachings of the program. I’ve sung in it once and directed it once; it is an awesome worship experience, for being non-sacramental.
