Facing Statue of Mary

A parish I go to had the practice of turning to face the statue of Mary when singing the Salve Regina after vespers. I was wondering though, when the statue is veiled near the end of Lent, do we still turn to face it? Where would I find the rules regarding this?
 
Since what you’re doing is merely a pious, devotion, there are no hard and fast rules. You can pretty much do whatever you feel drawn to.

Oh, YES!!! Look to her! She is there! - just hidden (like Christ in the Eucharist- we kneel!!)
