For the Holy Spirit to teach ourselves and our family and friends and others forgiveness

Hi,

I do not know many people who are good at forgiveness whatsoever. In my family there is no true reconciliation or forgiveness. Family members have literally disowned each other, or threaten to, or fear being disowned. There is no effort to change ways of thinking or behavior. Faults are merely reasons or ammunition for blackmail, or guilt mongering. I don’t know how to change this but than to ask God for help and to ask all of you and others to beseech God to pour out the grace necessary to understand and act on the virtues required for forgiveness, healing, restoration, reconciliation and future holiness and love. Please ask Jesus and Mary to bestow the graces of the gifts of faith, hope, and love, and teach all my family and friends, and everyone we meet, the wonderful grace of true repentence, forgiveness both given and received, and mutual reconciliation and healing. I need to learn to forgive, and be forgiven, to confess my sins to those I have hurt and to listen to others confess the sins by which they have hurt me. Please pray for this kind of mutual self-giving to occur. May the secret thoughts of many be revealed, sanctified by the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ and the prayers and sorrow of His Blessed Mother at the foot of the Cross. May all creation give God praise through the restoration of us poor sinners to the Holy Will of God the Most Blesses Trinity.

Mother Mary, may we always look to you and as our model par excellence of humility and forgivenss, and be perfect imitators of you. Please grant us your heart and dispositions so we can receive Jesus and others with the love we are supposed to have. May we beg forgiveness of God and of others when we have sinned, and not be unforgiving should others neglect to beg forgivenss from us. May we be strict with ourselves and lenient with others so we can always grow in holiness. Amen.
