I’m glad to. In the Gospel of St. Matthew 13: 40-42, Jesus solemnly proclaims: “Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so it will be at the close of the age. The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.” There are plenty of other places where the imagery of being cast into Hell, or fire, or “outer darkness” is invoked (cf. Mt. 25: 30, 41; Lk 3: 9, 17; 12:5; 13: 27-28). Nowhere do you see the damned willingly marching into Hell of their own accord. Blessings, ~Br. Carlo~
This quote is talking about causes of sin and all evildoers, however this thread is about unbelievers. There are lots of atheists who are much nicer people (not evil doers at all) than many believers. Who said evil is not punished by time is hell? But evil is not the same as non-believing.

I disagree. Unbelief is at the heart of all evil, since what proceeds from unbelief is without faith, and faith is *required *for a right relationship with God. Read carefully Hebrews 3: 7-19 and 4: 1-3, where the author specifically links unbelief with evil and with exclusion from the Promised Land (the OT metaphor for heaven). Blessings, ~Br. Carlo~

Sure this says so, but these are not the Christ’s words. In the days when this book was written, everyone who was not like themselves was considered evil. In my opinion, the Christ’s own words are the only ones that hold true for all time.

For instance, Warren Buffet, one of our biggest philanthropists of our time, is rumored to be an atheist - you would not call him evil would you? Everlasting hell for him? I can’t believe anyone would believe or even suggest such a thing!

The human eye is naturally drawn to rapidly shifting images, make it next to impossible to avoid looking at.
I have ADHD and can avoid looking at it… If you can’t scroll so that it is not on screen with what you are reading.
