Don’t get me wrong, vocation to priesthood and religious life is a great thing to have, but I know it’s not my calling and I know there are others who are called to be married with no lucky finding Mr or Miss Right—and there are a lot of intercessions lately in my parish for an increase in the vocation to priesthood and religious life…no marriage!

So, I would like to pray for an increase in the Vocation to Marriage and Family life. An increase in shining examples of Christian love and family in our world. That the eyes and hearts of single men and women be opened to God’s will for their lives as it may not look like they think it should and accept God’s plan for them instead of thinking “it’s too late” or “he/she doesn’t look like I want” etc.
 
Lord, I pray that we each know our true vocation and faithfully pursue it.

You gift me with all the good gifts that make me the person you created me to be. Help me to know and find your will and to trust that you will help me to understand the path you call me to journey in life. Where there is doubt give me courage. Give me a heart open to your quiet voice so I can hear your call to me. Help me to know your faithfulness and help me to be faithful to that which you call me to. Amen.

I will pray for Vocations for Catholic Married life.
