This story broke several months ago and I hadn’t heard anything about it for awhile. It appears that the claims were indeed false as many suspected. It will be interesting to see if he is ultimately allowed to return to his parish.

Exonerated, but Cardinal Cupich has decided his faculties will not be restored and he will not be returning to his parish.

In other words…exonerated, but punished all the same.
