Hi all!
In the wee hours of this morning, DW, the dog & I were awakened by the thunder and lightning of one heckuva rainstorm (jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1143498783625&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull). Da Boyz slept through http://forum.catholic.com/images/smilies/ani/sleep.gif it all.
When Naor (5) bestirred himself this morning & came to watch the storm with me through the sliding glass door that opens from our living room into the yard, I said, “Look at the rain Naor.” He replied (in a combination of English & Hebrew), “It’s a mabul,” using not the modern Hebrew word for “flood” but the word from Genesis for the Flood (which is used in modern Hebrew slang to describe really big, torrential floods). Then he said, “Ah no, God promised that He wouldn’t do that again,” and walked off to get some cereal, quite content with himself and his great theological pronouncement. http://forum.catholic.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Be well!
