I’m 43 and still single. I know this is the millionth post on this topic but I’d appreciate any prayers for my vocation. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t expect to marry or at least have a family and it weighs on me. I have no desire for the priesthood so I’m just trying to accept my lot and God’s will. Thanks.

I will pray for your vocation. I am sorry you are feeling frustrated.

I’m happy to pray for you.

My son was around your age when God answered the prayer I finally formed for him in his loneliness.
“Lord, if there is someone in the world who will truly love him, and whom he will truly love, please let them find each other.” I’d prayed for years, but this was really reaching out!

A lovely single girl, around his age, a CAF member, prayed for my son during a difficult period in his life. Time passed. She emigrated over 9,500 miles to marry him, after they’d met in each other’s country and corresponded a great deal.
And she is that gift of God I prayed for. They love and support each other tremendously.
Certainly CAF had about double the membership then …
But they were around your age, and through prayer they did find each other.

God grant that if it is God’s will so may you.

Trishie, thanks for the words of encouragement and prayers. I could definitely use it. At this point, I’m resigned to my single status.
