He certainly is just.
I think we can say that God is fair in some sense. Google defines Fair as “in accordance with the rules or standards.”

I think there is a rule that God acts in accordance with… The eternal law. Because I think it’s part of His nature, I think He acts in accordance with it.

What do you think?

God is not fair, right?
It depends on what you mean by ‘fair’. For grade-schoolers, and many adults, it means “I am entitled to get the things that I want, especially if at least one other person gets those things.”

By that standard – which I wouldn’t call ‘fairness’, but rather, a type of ‘greed’ – no, God isn’t ‘fair’. 🤷

God is love…He allows for us what is best for our salvation. We benefit when we surrender ourselves to what we cannot change.

First define fairness. He certainly is not obliged to do anything for anyone. In law, fairness indicates an obligated exchange or treatment of similar values. So far I have not heard of any theory that says God owes someone some obligation.

Often, I hear people use the word “fair” to mean that everything is equal. This does not take into account a person’s actual needs.

For instance, it would be “fair” to give each person in my family the exact same meals that add up to 2,000 calories in a day. Now, my toddler might have way more than he can eat, and my very active teenager might feel like she’s half-starved. But that’s what many people think of as being “fair.” We all get the same.

What God does, though, is give to us each according to our need. We all are given all the grace we need to get to Heaven–but the actual amount will vary. Some are larger vessels, and will be able to tolerate more struggles and more grace. Others are smaller vessels… yet God will fill us to capacity if we will only let Him! 🙂
