I am preparing a boklet to explain the Mass to non-Catholics, both Protestants and Jews.

Therefore, I have two questions.
  1. Can people post or post a link to a list of where all the parts and quotes of the Mass come from in Scripture?
  2. Can people cite some non-typographic Old Testament references that point to or explain the Mass?
Thanks a bunch

Thanks. These are good links to learn from. :clapping:

At the risk of sounding slightly sarcastic, most Protestants and Jews know as much about the Mass as most Catholics. Go with the flow is the main theme these days. When I was teaching at a Catholic high school, a Jewish boy went up to receive communion. I was not the chaplain, the celibrant, or one of the religion teachers (I taught math), so I was not about to go up and snatch him out of the line. But you get the picture.

Remember that the Mass came before the Bible, and cannot be explicitly ‘proven’ from scripture. The sacrament of the Eucharist can be proven from scripture, but the ‘Mass’, in the sense of the rite, can’t be.

Emmaus, Luke 24:13-34 This was the second Mass. The first was in the upper room, the night before His arrest.
