This is a long story, but I will drastically condense it for purposes of this forum.
I have a friend who is a non-practicing Catholic. He is not very knowledgeable in Church teaching, theology, doctrine, or Scripture, and he doesn’t seem to care. He has two children and is recently divorced. He told me that he is going to have a vasectomy because he cannot afford nor risk ever having anymore children. How can I talk him out of this without sounding like I am forcing theology down his throat. We are very close, and he already knows that I am opposed to this idea–but he is determined to go through with this next month.
HELP!
