I have a very good girlfriend whose husband won’t speak to, hug, kiss or even touvh her. They both work in the medical field and have structured their schedules so they are only home together 1day a week.
The reason the whole situation started was mainly because he is lazy and doesn’t help around the home EVER, and she is left to do everything, and also because she is extremely career driven and forthe last 5years has put herself and her career FAR ahead of their relationship. The reason I share those details is to show that the problems they face are not from only one of them.
I want to be there for her, but how do I go about this? I don’t want to support her wanting a divorce!! I do not think they need a divorce, I think they need to take time off work and focus on each other for a while… but neither of them are Catholic or very religious so they won’t go for spiritual help, and I don’t know if he will speak with a counciller.
Thanks for your advice.
