“Edmund Gustav Albrecht Husserl was a German philosopher who established the school of phenomenology. In his early work, he elaborated critiques of historicism and of psychologism in logic based on analyses of intentionality.” Wikipedia

Does anyone know what ways of reasoning he used in these early critiques?

I don’t (I was a bad student of contemporary philosophy), but I do wish there were more questions like this on this forum… 👍

Husserl began as a mathematician (he wrote Philosophy of Arithmetic in 1891), then moved to logic with Logical Investigations in 1900/01 (two volumes).

Do you know anything about his math? I think he may be Kantian, but I would like to know if he added anything to the field of math

All phenomenologists, really all philosophers, have to deal with Kant. Husserl isn’t a Kantian because he doesn’t accept Kant’s critical idealism.

The only substantial piece on mathematics was his dissertation. I do not know what he actually said or if he contributed anything worthwhile to mathematics. Check out Dallas Willard’s translation of Early Writings in the Philosophy of Logic and Mathematics (Husserliana: Edmund Husserl - Collected Works):
